Window Project #3

We've officially been in our house for 1 year! Wow! We still enjoy our home and the great neighborhood that we live in, but the home improvement projects just keep coming! Last year we replaced the window in the nursery and the two windows in our bedroom--they were rotting out and needed to be replaced soon according to the home inspector. What a difference they have made too!!
Today, Chuck, his brother and his dad replaced the window in the 3rd bedroom--which will become Kieran's new room this summer before his baby brother arrives. So, here are some pictures of our window project today:

It is much easier to open and now we won't have to block it off in the winter to keep the cold draft out!

So, pictures of windows can be a bit boring--so here's a picture of Kieran taking his bath tonight. He played outside most of the day with his cousins and I did put sunscreen on him, but I guess I missed his shoulders as you can see they are a bit red! Daddy says he's got a good start to his farmer's tan!

Memorial Weekend in Iowa

We spent Memorial Weekend in Iowa with Chuck's family. It was great weather, good food and lots of time to relax! Here are some photos from the weekend:

Yesterday Kieran was very busy keeping our Big Care Bear busy with all the baby stuff. He was taking good care of his Bear Baby-he's going to be great Big Brother!!

After the Bear was done playing, Kieran says "bear nap", put the bear in the pac n play and shut the door!

I would say he watches me very closely when I'm babysitting during the day!

Mother's Day

This posting is almost a week late-but, better late than never right?! I had a wonderful Mother's Day last week! 1st, Kieran made the beautiful picture (posted below) for me in our church nursery at Steadfast Bible Fellowship. 2nd, I didn't have to cook and was treated to dinner out at Outback Steakhouse.

3rd, I planted the flowers outside that I received for Mother's Day. I can't wait to see them grow and bloom:
I feel totally honored and blessed to be Kieran's mommy and the current incubator for his baby brother! God has blessed me beyond measure and I only hope that I can be the best mommy that I can be as I--along with Chuck--raise our boys as God would want us to!

"Watch Daddy!"

Every morning when Chuck gets ready to leave for work, Kieran says "wanna watch daddy!" So, we have to open the front door so he can watch daddy drive off to work. Last week, he decided to just pull his chair up to the door to watch.
