The boys and I visited the Omaha Children's Museum today so we could visit the "Big Backyard" exhibit before it's gone in April! They had a blast and our friend Sadie (and her mom) came along for the fun too!

Chuck E. Cheese
Chuck and I both had the day off yesterday so we decided to do something fun and special with the boys. We had lots of options, but we opted for Chuck E. Cheese! I'm the only one that has ever been there, so all my boys had a good time playing!
We ate pizza, of course, and Kieran couldn't wait to go play some games with his tokens! Well, that lasted about 10 minutes before he was ready to go crawl in the big tunnels hanging from the ceiling--he loves those! So, daddy took over the tokens and racked up almost 200 tickets! We "cashed" our tickets in for some blue cotton candy and everyone enjoyed this snack in the car on the way home! Neither one of our boys had ever tried cotton candy before--they approved--and kept asking for more!It was a Great Family Day!

Moon Dough
Kieran received some Moon Dough for Christmas--and he loves it! He asks me every day if he can play with it! This stuff is pretty cool--even I have fun with it! It's kind of like playdoh except it doesn't dry out and it's more moldable---and makes much more of a mess for mom to clean up! Hence the reason he doesn't get to play with it every day he asks!

Feelin the Love..
Happy Valentine's Day--1 day late! I had every intention of posting these photos on Feb. 14th--gut life got in the way! I would like to say that I was having a spa day and that is why I didn't get these posted--but, it was more like laundry, diaper changes, cooking meals and a fussy 17 month old that stole my time away. Oh, let's not forget the embarrassing trip to Wal-Mart with a disobedient 3 year old! Anyway, life is good here--even with it's occasional flaws! So, here's a glimpse into our celebration with my Valentines!
Kieran had a party at preschool on the Thursday before Valentine's Day. He decorated a box--or mommy decorated a box because he wasn't that into it--but that's okay--he loved the candy that came in the box later! I helped out with the party at his preschool and we all had a good time (expect I forgot my camera)! He told daddy when we got home, "I got lots of candy from my trick or treat!"

Kieran was excited to receive Valentine mail from cousin Vincent! He ate the treat right away and then wanted to eat Kiptyn's too!

To Nap or Not to Nap?
So, Kieran doesn't usually take a nap in the afternoon because if we do let him sleep then he won't go to bed at night. So, we tried only letting him sleep for 1 hour in the afternoon and he was still wide awake at 10:30 p.m.! Also, he was a major grumpy bear when you woke him up--20 minutes of that was enough to make you think twice about letting him take a nap in the first place!
Because he doesn't take a nap, we backed up his bedtime to 8 p.m. Well, I guess preschool must really wear him out when he attends during the week, because if he comes home and lays his head down for too long, this is what happens:
I usually let him have a 30 minute siesta and then wake him up--much to his dismay! So, we're doomed if we do and we're doomed if we don't!
I was totally shocked to see Kieran falling asleep like that because our boys have never been ones to do that. Well, something must have really worn Kiptyn out because this is how we found him on Tuesday!:
Now, if only my boys would let me take a little nap in the middle of the floor whenever I wanted!

One of our neighbors recently got back from a 6 month deployment so we had to celebrate her return! We ate out at Hector's Mexican Cuisine with some of our neighbors. It was nice to get together (without kids) and enjoy their company!
