Batman and Boots

After we did our own family Christmas at my parents house that morning, we headed to KS for more Christmas celebrating and fun!

My sister in law didn't realize that this Batman toy was a "life size" Batman when she ordered it online for Kiptyn! Ha ha!

But, he seems to be fitting in well with our family!

Chloe got a new rocking chair!

We all had family photos taken this fall and as our (my brother's family and us) gift to my parents, my brother printed canvases for a wall in my parents house.

Four Special Gifts

This year for Christmas, we did something different with our kids' gifts. They received their gift from Santa and they received 4 gifts from us. We gave them something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read. It worked out great! The kids were not overwhelmed with gifts and it was a bit of a challenge for me to 1. stick with the plan and 2. figure out the one thing they need and one gift they want!

Santa showed up during the night!

We were at my parents' house on Christmas morning so Kieran wrote a letter to Santa to let him know that he would need to stop by their house on Christmas Eve!

Christmas morning was fast, exciting, full of smiles and so much fun!

Our family spent Saturday evening with our good friend, Tara, to celebrate Christmas together!

The kids loved Tara's big chair!

Tara and I were roommates in college and have been best friends ever since!

Away in A Manger....



We had 3 Christmas programs to attend this month...all within a week!

Our boys did great!

 

Kiptyn had his 1st ever preschool program!

He didn't sing much...or at all...but I expected that!

Kieran was the exact same way at his 1st music program when he was this age!

 

The kids sang songs at church too!

Do you notice a trend with Kiptyn in these pictures:

Kiptyn couldn't seem to keep his hands out of his mouth! But, at least he kept his finger out of his nose!!

 

Last but not least, Kieran had a 1st grade music program at school!

Kieran did great singing and performing all the actions!

We're thankful for the teachers, Sunday School teachers and Kieran's music teacher that put so much time and work into these programs!
