Lotsa Brick!

Progress continues on the backyard project!
Chuck is doing a great job and the new retaining wall is looking awesome!

Digging the trench for the first layer of bricks!

Getting a good start...looking good already!

The boys love being outside with daddy and seeing/learning about how all of this is working and going together!

You could say the boys are in "little boy heaven" with all the dirt, rocks and worms to play with!

All of the kids have had at least one turn riding with daddy in the bobcat!

The neighbor girls want to come over and play in the dirt too!!

Working hard!!

Love this picture!!

This was taken on Saturday night before the kids came in for baths and bed.
Chuck kept on working because rain was in the forecast for Sunday!

I guess if you ever want it to rain.... a lot...just take a whole week off work to do a backyard project and the rain will come! It rained most of the day on Sunday but Chuck was able to get back outside on Monday...after he watched the kids for my Remicade treatment, and get some more work done.

Watching from the inside.

It is raining again today so Chuck hasn't been able to go outside yet to work.
This is how the project looks up to this point. You can see on the back corner where the other wall will be put into place.
We're hopeful that the weather will cooperate a bit better as the week goes on, but we're thankful for the much needed rain!

Lotsa Rock!

The backyard project got into full swing this week!
Product was delivered, dirt work began and progress was made!
Chuck's friend Rob was able to get our rock from a nearby quarry and he delivered it to our house with his truck...saved us a lot of money!
Chuck had to move the rock from the street up into the driveway.

Lots of little helpers!

Shouldn't he be working?!

Our bricks were delivered soon after the rock was moved into the driveway!
This is the 1st load...Chuck moved it to the backyard and then a 2nd load arrived!

Kiptyn thinks the bobcat is loud!

At one point Kieran says, "Mom, come look at all of the tracks in the backyard....that you're probably  not going to like!!" Our nice green grass is gone...covered by dirty bobcat tracks and ruts...but I know new grass will be planted soon and that's exciting!

Beginning the patio steps....

Chuck's brother Daniel came over to help.

Each one of those bricks weighs 125 pounds!

Three Little Bears in a Bobcat!

New Patio Steps!!
Chuck and Daniel did an awesome job on the new steps!!

First part done....moving on to the next phase! Stay tuned!

He is Risen!

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day to attend church and celebrate our Risen Savior!

"He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our sins, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed!"

Turtles and Eggs!

We were able to go back to Kansas and Western Nebraska to visit my family for Easter weekend! The kids loved playing with cousins, seeing grandparents and celebrating Kieran's birthday on the actual day!

We had some pizza in the park with my parents on Saturday afternoon as we were waiting for my great grandma Loree to finish lunch at the nursing home.

Visiting Great Grandma Loree!
The kids always know they get candy in Grandma's room!

Later that day, the kids got to take a fast ride in Poppy's car!!

They were excited!!

We had an Easter egg hunt in the afternoon at Poppy and Grandma Sondra's house!

Cousins!!

The kids also received Easter Baskets!

The kids got lots of books and Kieran read all of them on the car ride back home!

We celebrated Kieran's birthday with Ninja Turtle cupcakes!

Opening gifts from family!

It was a beautiful day on Saturday....leading up to Sunday...the most important day of all!
