March Memories

The month of March always seems to be a slow month for us...we have no birthdays to celebrate, it's cold outside and we've had no snow to play in and not much has happened...and that is OKAY!
We're still making memories...
Enjoying a great day outside...washing cars and cleaning out the garage!

One of Kiptyn's preschool friends had a birthday and they brought their leftover party balloons to preschool...Kiptyn got to bring this funky balloon hat home!

Popsicles on a warm Saturday!
The boys played outside for almost 3 hours on this day! We rode bikes, played in the backyard...and just enjoyed the warmth!

Chuck and I went on a double date with some neighbors!
This was on the night of our 11th wedding anniversary!
I love this man more everyday!!

Kiptyn made some special food for the birds in Sunday School....we hung it on the tree outside. Unfortunately, the bids didn't seem to like it too well.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Tara came over on St. Patty's Day...everyone in their green!!

Kiptyn is learning how to play UNO. Chuck made little card holders out of some leftover wood for the boys!

The movie Frozen came out on DVD on March 18th. Our neighbor friends invited us over for a little viewing party before bed!

Watching Frozen in our pajamas with friends!

That pretty much sums up our March....people may say we're lucky but we're not....we're extremely Blessed!

The Love Month

I know we're half way into March but here are some other fun pictures from our month of February!

Watching it snow outside

Building some new Legos that he received for Christmas. A perfect activity to do on a Saturday when it was bitterly cold outside and snowing!

Sharing Kiptyn's blanket during snack and movie time before bed.

I LOVE this picture that I took...just happened to have my camera in hand at the right moment!

LOVE My Boys!!

Sibling Love!

Chloe's 2 year picture that a friend took for us. My heart overflows when I see this picture...I can't believe how grown up she is already! Love her to pieces!

Sunday Tea

The celebrating continued into Sunday! We attended church, served lunch at our home for my family and Chuck's family and Chloe enjoyed more cousin playing time and gifts!
Sunday morning before church with the birthday girl!
Daddy dressed up for the special occasion!

Grandma Bear with Chuck and the kids before church.

At Christmas time, Santa gave Chloe a pizza play set....Grandma Bear gave her the similar birthday cake play set for her special day!
It's nice to get some cake served to us around here now...instead of pizza all the time...with our coffee and tea, of course!

Opening more gifts!
New clothes for summer, bubbles and play doh!

More food for her kitchen from Tara!

She's got this gift opening thing mastered!

New shoes!!
Chloe changes her shoes at least 3x a day! At some point in the day, we have princess shoes, boots, sparkly shoes and church shoes on!

Cutting up her new play food with Tara!

We were so blessed that our friends and family could help us celebrate Chloe's 2nd birthday!

A Special ParTEA!

Our little Chloe girl turned 2 years old in February! I can't believe how the time has flown by!
She loves all things "girly" and she adds so much sweetness to our family!
On Chloe's birthday we gave her a new kitchen from our family!
It has seen lots of play time by all the kids...and she likes to serve us coffee out of the Keurig that is part of her kitchen!! Is it sad that your 2 year old has a Keurig and you don't?!

She loves talking on the phone!!

Chloe received a new baby doll from our friends, The Harris', she opened it on her birthday too!

The weekend after her birthday, we had a big party weekend with friends and family coming to help us celebrate Chloe!!
Because Chloe likes to play tea party, we had a little tea party themed birthday with some finger foods and little desserts...and flowers!

Chloe with Grandpa Lyle and Grandma Shelia!

We were happy that my brother's family could come out for the weekend also!
My parents with all their grandkids!

Chloe with her party table!
The serving dish on the left belonged to Chloe's great grandma Anna Burkland (my MIL's mom) and the serving tray on the right belongs to Chloe's other great grandma Sondra Kester (my mom's mother). It was special to have these pieces a part of Chloe's tea party birthday!

Some of our special party guests!!

Uncle Steven and Grandpa Lyle having a tea party!
Chloe wasn't quite sure what to think about these gentlemen joining her for tea!

Opening gifts!
A new Arial princess dress!

A diaper bag for her baby dolls!

New clothes!!

Chloe loves to help me sweep the floor...now she has her own broom set!

Modeling her princess dress...complete with Arial shoes she got for Christmas!

These pictures were taken on Saturday...as I mentioned, it was a birthday weekend...more party pictures to come!!

Fresh and Clean

As mentioned in previous posts, we did a big home improvement project just after the new year!
We...or I should say, Chuck, painted the whole first floor of our house (excluding bedrooms and bathrooms). The ceilings even got a new coat of paint!
I helped with some of the trimming, taping, moving plastic around and keeping kids out of the way, but the credit really goes to my awesome husband!
This is a before picture of the wall color.

A before picture of one of the walls in the living room.

In progress.....this is the beginning stage of the first ceiling!

A little fun with the primer...the boys thought we should leave this on the wall forever!

We found out that gray is a hard color to pick because it has so many "undertones" that could turn out to be blue or brown or whatever! Do you see the 2 different colors in this picture? The blueish color on the right is the first gray we chose...trust me when I say that it did not look that blue on the swatch!!
Chuck went back to the store, chose a different gray color and had the paint remixed...the color on the left is what we ended up with...much better!

Taking a little break with Chloe!

Kiptyn hanging out!

Fresh, white paint on the ceilings!! Yeah!

I guess this is how you paint with stairs! I was a bit nervous, but Chuck seemed fine :-)

The new wall!! New gray color and the awesome new shelves that my hubby built for me! He put a lot of time into these to make them just right!! I love them!

The fireplace wall.
It's so nice to have the fresh, clean look in our house...and walls that are easier to wipe down and keep clean with little hands in the house!
