"Scrappin Book"

Whenever we visit my parents, the boys can always find something to mess with...or "play" with in my mom's craft room. She usually finds something fun for them to do. This last time we visited, it was stamps!

This is Kieran making his "Scrappin Book" as he calls it:

Play-Doh Post

Kieran loves playing with play-doh! He likes to make "rocks" with it!

This is how Kiptyn gets to play with play-doh:

I Love It When...

  • My boys smell like their daddy's after shave.
  • I have all the ingredients in the fridge or the pantry to make a recipe.
  • Kieran says, "good night mommy, I love you!"
  • The seasons change.
  • My house is clean and clutter free.
  • My husband leaves me little notes before he leaves for work.
  • God shows me, once again, that He is in control and has all my needs met.
  • Kiptyn snuggles up on my shoulder.
  • I get to spend time with our friends and family.
  • I can sleep past 7:00 a.m.
  • Kids Eat Free!
  • Life stays on schedule.
  • You comment on my blog postings.

Celebrating a Good Man!

The boys and I traveled to Kansas last weekend to gather with family to celebrate my Grandpa Lloyd Seems' 90th Birthday! It was a great time to see family, take lots of pictures and enjoy this special time with my grandpa!

A special thanks to my Aunt Cindy for putting together all the details for the party and making it happen!

18 Months Young

Kiptyn had his 18 month check-up on Monday. He weighs a hefty 21 lbs! :-) He screamed the whole time the doctor was examining him, but everything looks good!

He is still a very happy lil' guy (most days!), loves to be outside, knows how to irritate his older brother, says quite a few words, LOVES bath time, knows how to throw a fit, HATES having his diaper changed, likes to give you "loves" and kisses and he's just a fun little boy to have around!

We're Thankful for our Kiptyn!

Beans, Beans Everywhere!

The boys have been easily entertained these days by the cheapest thing--BEANS! They both love to sit at the table and put beans in containers, dump them out, stir them up, dump them again...

Even Kiptyn sits at the table for minutes at a time to play. Of course, we do end up with quite a few beans on the floor--but nothing that can't be easily picked up--which the boys are very helpful at doing.

Last weekend when we were at my grandma's house, she gave them dry macaronni to play with--and they did the same thing! They loved it!

We don't need a sandbox, we need a bean and macaronni box!

Hello Outside World!

We've been loving and enjoying the 60-70 degree weather that we've been experiencing! The boys love to be outside, and Kiptyn throws a huge fit when it's time to come back in the house! Plus, he's learning the hard lesson that he's not allowed to run into the street! But, I'm sure by the end of summer we'll have that lesson mastered! ha!

Happy St. Patricks Day

There will be no pinching around here!:

Quick Trip to Celebrate!

My friend Annie is having a baby!! So, of course, when I got an invite to attend her baby shower back in Phillipsburg, I wasn't going to miss it! Annie and I were the best of friends in high school--we've traveled many miles together--both physically and academically! I'm thankful to call her friend and I'm so happy for her and her baby girl due in May!
Because Chuck had to work on Saturday, my friend Tara (whom I've known since college) road tripped with me and the boys so I could attend the baby shower and not have to make the trip by myself with the little ones. It was a quick trip, but well worth it!
I am blessed with great friends!

Busy Boys!

We sure are looking forward to spring so we can spend some time outside! The boys have lots of things to keep them busy in the house, but we're all ready for some fresh air!! Kieran plays a lot of games--but, he likes to make up his own rules sometimes--you have to keep a close eye! He still loves his trains and any paper he can get his hands on, he's writing on it and then putting it in his "office!"

Kiptyn's new favorite thing is pulling out the chairs at the table and helping himself to whatever he can find to play with--even if it means getting ON the table to get it! He's gotten a hold of the car keys a couple of times and he knows exactly which button to push to make the car horn honk in the garage! Stinker!
We have to make sure the bathroom door is always shut because Kiptyn is either playing in the toilet if the lid is up, or climbing on Kieran's stool to get into the drawers and play--he loves the ear thermometer!

Did I do that?!
