Baby Talk with Burklands!

As mentioned in the previous post, we recently spent a weekend in Iowa with some of Chuck's family and friends. We spent Saturday afternoon with some of my Mother in Law's (Burkland) family... a fun group of aunts, uncles and cousins!
There was lots of food, lots of playtime for the little ones and lots of baby talk around the table as two of Chuck's cousins are expecting (they are due 1 week apart)!
Chloe having a snack on Grandma Bear's lap!

Chuck playing some pool with the men!

My boys hanging out...or rather ON some of Chuck's cousins!

Most of the group!

On Sunday we saw lots more friends at church and had lunch with our good friends, Noah and Carol Yoder!
It was a good weekend to catch up with lots of great people!

Omega What?

We recently took a trip to Iowa for the weekend and while we were there, the kids received their Christmas gift from Grandpa Bear and Cordie.

When Chuck was younger, he and his six siblings spent innovative hours with these things called Omagles. Well, our kids got a box of Omagles from Grandpa this year!
I'm not sure who was more surprised...daddy or the kids!
Opening the box of pieces!

Chloe doing her part to help!

Chloe with her own set of little wheels to push around!

Figuring out what pieces are needed for a....

Slide!!

After they were done with the slide....they built a car!

The kids (and daddy) have had lots of fun with these since returning home!
They have built guns, more cars and we currently have a table built for all of them to enjoy!

Christmas and Cousins!

January is almost over and I still have a Christmas posting to share with you!

On New Year's Day we started a big home improvement project: painting the entire main floor (minus bedrooms and bathrooms) including ceilings! I'll share pictures soon but we still have some decorating to do and touch ups to finish etc.

In the midst of painting, I took some (rushed) time to finish up my 2013 digital scrapbook of our family. The website I use was having a sale and I really wanted to save some big bucks on this book so I had to finish that up...and you know how it goes when you're in a rush...the computer is slow and the website freezes up! But, I got it done and I can't wait to show you sometime!

Recently, Chuck and all 3 kids have been dealing with fevers, coughs, sinus infections or the other nasty viruses going around! I think they are all finally getting better..at least I hope so! I can't wait for spring to get here!

But, before spring postings start....here are some pictures of our Christmas with the Bear Family!

Kids Table!

The cousins love playing together!!

It was a great conclusion to all of our Christmas gatherings with our families and friends! All the new toys and books are keeping the kids very busy and occupied...at least until Spring arrives!
