I finally figured out the special feature that I wanted to do with my camera! I was pushing 'buttons' on the camera and I should have been turning the 'dial'! Who knew?! Anyway, I had too much fun trying out the color change option. You can see the pictures below:

Fries?
Yesterday, Kieran and I went to the bank and when we pulled up to the drive through window, Kieran is in the backseat saying, "fries? fries?, want fries!" I had to explain that this was the bank and we don't get food at the bank!
Last night we went shopping for a new camera--and we bought one--super excited--but still figuring out how to use all the features, buttons etc. Of course, the one feature that I'm dying to try---I can't figure it out! Ugg! But, I get a free class on how to use the camera so I think I'll take advantage of that---but probably not before this weekend when we celebrate Christmas with my family.
Anyway, after we did the camera shopping, we went out for pizza. So, we're sitting in the booth waiting to order and Kieran is saying--you guessed it--"fries? fries? want fries!" You would think the kid is addicted to them!

Amen!
Whenever we get ready to eat we'll say to Kieran, "let's pray" and he'll usually fold his hands and bow his head, we pray and that's it. Before lunch today we said, "let's pray" and he bowed his head, said about 7 words in baby talk, looked up and smiled! It was cute and I'm sure Jesus understood every word!

Bear Family Christmas
We thoroughly enjoyed having the Bear family at our house on Christmas Day! Everyone helped out by bringing some food---including lots of homemade goodies--and we had a great time of fellowship together! We laughed a lot and made some good memories.
Chuck's sister, Clover and her family were missionaries in Belgium and they are back in the states now, but one of their Belgium friends came to visit! Her name is Moni and she was our special guest on Christmas day and she was so fun to have with us! This is her 1st trip to America and she has learned that everything is BIG in America! We all got a good laugh when she took a picture of the inside of our fridge because she couldn't believe how big it was! ha! We look forward to seeing her again someday--if not on earth (or in America) but in heaven!

Our Family--Chuck got us John Deere shirts to wear on Christmas day!

Side note: Last week Kieran pulled my camera off of the kitchen counter--it hit the floor with a big thud and quit working! Chuck fixed it and we thought it was working okay, and wouldn't you know that on Christmas day---it died! So, the above pictures are courtesy of my sister-in-law Paige! Hopefully I'll have a new camera by the time we celebrate Christmas with my family next weekend!

Family Christmas
We had our family Christmas this morning with Kieran. As you can see from the pictures, he received a toy workbench and he loves it! He can hammer the nails in and use the screwdriver too! He also received a tractor and a choo-choo. I think we're going to have a busy day ahead with all these new toys to explore!

1st Post!
Well, the Bear family has officially dove into the blog world! Welcome to our blog! I love keeping up with my friends by reading their blogs and I've thought about starting my own for awhile now, so here we are! I'm not that creative when it comes to writing and I'm not that funny, so don't think this is going to be very entertaining in that realm--but Kieran can do some pretty funny--and ornery things sometimes! I created this for the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins etc. that live so far away, but yet want to stay close on what's happening with us. I also created it for you! So, please enjoy and maybe at it to your favorites?!
I thought about waiting until after the new year to start this--you know--new year, new blog--but then I thought it would be fun to put some Christmas pictures on here too. And I can't start a new blog in 2009 with pictures of 2008 events--okay, I can, but I won't--this time.
I guess that's enough explaining. Be patient with me, I'm still learning and my blog probably won't look as good as my friends' blogs--fellow bloggers--help me out here--but it should be fun and I know many of you reading this will enjoy the pictures and updates from us! And now here's a picture of the star of the blog:
