Christmas Morning

The boys were awake by 6:30 a.m. on Christmas morning! My mom fixed us a great breakfast and then it was time to open the gifts!

The boys may not get too excited about new clothes--but mommy appreciates them!

Christmas Eve

We had our little family Christmas at home on the morning of Christmas Eve and I'm not sure who was more excited about the boys opening their gifts--them or me! I just couldn't wait to see their faces when they ripped off the wrapping and seen what they had received from daddy and mommy!

Kieran painted a picture frame at preschool, decorated it and his teachers put a picture of him in it with a Santa hat on and standing by the Christmas tree. I love it!:

After we opened gifts at our house, we packed up the van and headed out to celebrate Christmas with my family. After attending Christmas Eve service, giving the boys their bath and getting them ready for bed, grandma let them open one gift that night:

Fulfilling the Need

Most of the Christmas celebrations have come and gone for our family and what a great Christmas it was! We will celebrate with the Bear side of the family this upcoming weekend and we're really looking forward to that! The boys received lots of great stuff in their presents.

The boys wake up in the morning and eat breakfast--which might consist of a pop-tart or cereal that they received in one of their food boxes from grandma and grandpa.

Then the boys get dressed for the day in some new clothes, including socks that they received for Christmas.

The boys are very busy throughout the day playing with new toys, puzzles, games, watching new movies, eating more snacks from the food box and Kiptyn naps.

They end the day with a bath--made all the more fun with new bath toys--and then they go to bed--ready to start a new day of playing and adventure tomorrow!

So, you could say that if it weren't for Christmas that my boys would be naked, starved and bored out of their mind! Okay, not really.

But, the truth is that because of the very First Christmas, our biggest need is taken care of! The world was in need of a Savior to take away our sins and provide a way for us to have an everlasting relationship with God--and God provided that need in the form of a baby on that first Christmas morning. Thankfully, He is all that I NEED!

What's Up..

Here's what our Saturday has looked like so far..

We got our haircuts last night and our hairdresser gave the boys Christmas gifts--yes, she spoils them! Kieran got a cool phone that teaches you about 911 and how to call for emergencies etc. Kiptyn got a book that talks. Of course, they both want to play with the phone--at the same time--which has caused lots of fighting this morning. I'm sure this is a sign of what's to come after Christmas...

Kieran received a dry-erase board from grandma a few days ago-he loves writing on it--he had that priviledge taken away from him today when I caught him writing on the wall, the chair and the table with the black dry erase marker! Thankfully, it all cleaned up fine, but the board is now on the top of the fridge.

As Kieran is quietly watching cartoons, Kiptyn thinks it would be fun to 1. change the channel on his brother with the remote (one of his favorite things) and 2. mess up his big brother's train track---all of which caused major commotion from big brother!!

The day can only get better---right?!

"Ring Your Bells!"

Kieran had his preschool Christmas program on Sunday afternoon and below are some pictures I took. Kieran did good--he just stood in one spot and didn't say a word--how can you go wrong with that? He did ring his bell during one song--but that's about it. But, that's okay--at least he stayed on stage! He is a very shy kid and doesn't like being up in front of people-just like his daddy--but I love em both! The 4 year old class and the 3 year old class singing together

15 Months Old!

Kiptyn had his 15 month check-up yesterday and everything was good! The minute we walked into the exam room, he started crying--he remembered what happens in THAT room! Needless to say, he did have to get 3 shots to remind him once again!

He weighs 20 lbs. 4 oz. --Still small with a high metabolism! I'm telling you this kid can eat! He out eats his older brother all the time! The only thing we have found that he won't eat is broccoli-but who can blame him?!

He is teething and has a bit of a cold right now, but we are thankful for a happy, healthy boy!

Christmas Cookies with Grandma

While we were visting my parents over the Thanksgiving holiday, my mom made Christmas cookies with the boys! Lets just say we had a lot of sprinkles on the floor by the time we were done!
