MY Cake Boss!

Prepare yourselves! I have shocking news--and amazing pictures! Chuck not only baked his first ever cake, but then he cut it out and decorated it like a John Deere Tractor! I'm not kidding! Check out the pictures:

He told me a few weeks ago that he wanted to do this; I thought he was crazy--I admit it. Yes, I do birthday cakes at our house, but I do them a bit differently--I make a visit to the cake shop, tell them what I want and they deliver :-) So, I was a bit apprehensive about this whole cake thing!

But, he totally surprised me and he did an AWESOME job! He had some guidance from our SIL Rachel, but he pretty much did all the work himself! This is his "practice" cake--he plans on making another one for the Bear Birthday party on September 11th. I guess there's nothing my man can't do!

Game Boy(s)

Chuck recently found his "old" Game Boy and it still works great! So, Kieran and daddy are having fun playing games on it occasionally!

First Play-Doh Experience

Kiptyn had his first experience with play-doh recently. He actually got to play with the doh, not just stack the containers--which he loved to do! He only tried to eat in once!

Surprise, Grandma!

I'm playing a bit of catch up on the blog with some pictures I have to share with you. One of my friends commented on the previous pregnancy post, "I knew something was up when you hadn't posted for awhile." That's exactly right--pregnancy tiredness and sickness got the best of me--but, I'm back now so here you go :-)

My mom celebrated her birthday in July, so the boys and I traveled out to Kearney to surprise her for her special day! She loved it--and so did we!

The best "group shot" I could get--too bad it's not centered. Oh well!

Lots of Babies!

If you missed the previous post on the blog, WE ARE HAVING A BABY! We found out on Father's Day that we are expecting our 3rd child. We're very excited to be adding an addition to our family! Kieran is convinced that he's having a baby sister and we'll find out in 4 weeks whether that is the case or not. Kieran was telling people he was having a baby sister before I even knew I was pregnant?!!

We were together with some of Chuck's family over the 4th of July weekend and that is when we shared our news! In the picture below, I was 6 weeks along:

Since this photo was taken, my SIL Rachel (on the left) gave birth to a baby boy last Thursday and my SIL Violet (in the middle) found out that she is having a boy. So, we'll see if we'll be adding pink or blue to the family! Funny thing, my brother and his wife are expecting a baby in January--babies everywhere!! FUN!

Of course, we had to get a picture of the "pregnant husbands" too!

Clearly, they are adding to the humor in extended belly form, but I'm pretty sure my BIL Daniel (on the left) is ready to pop any day now!

This pregnancy has been much different than my experience with the boys--when I say different I mean morning sickness--or rather, all day sickness! I am feeling better now and hopefully we're past the extreme exhaustion and nausea! We've already had a 12 week check-up with the high risk doctor and everything looked good!
