KU Cousins

Last weekend, the boys and I traveled out West to see family and attend an 8th grade graduation party for one of my cousin's. We stayed with my parents on Friday night and then traveled back to my hometown on Saturday to see family and friends.

My niece and nephew also stayed with my parents on Friday night so the cousins had a good time playing together!

Caden was done with his supper so Kiptyn decided he wanted some of it--but only the ranch dressing please!

Kiptyn decided he needed the WHOLE bowl of popcorn!

My cousin, Brittni, had a KU themed graduation party:

One of my other cousins, Vincent, also graduated from 8th grade but we weren't able to make it back for his family dinner. These "little" cousins were born when I was a Senior in high school-I can't believe they're heading to high school now too! They'll be Seniors before we know it!

Take Steps, Be Heard!

On Saturday, May 14th, my parents and my friend, Tara, joined me in the TAKE STEPS, BE HEARD walk for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis! I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease 11 years ago and although I'm in remission (thanks to a drug called Remicade), a cure still needs to be found! I registered for the walk in early May and with the help of family and friends, we raised over $500 for research--in just over 1 week! Amazing! Thanks for everyone who donated!

Side note: Chuck was suppose to walk with us but he got sent to North Dakota for work during the week of the walk. He felt really bad, but I told him it was fine--next year he'll just have to help raise 2x as much in donations to make up for it! :-) I love him and all the support and encouragement he has given to me during our engagement period and our 8 years of marriage!

The Boy Can Sing!

Kieran's preschool had their end of the year programs last week. Below are some pictures of Kieran SINGING! Yes, he did it! I'm so proud of him! Of course, he barely mumbled two words during the Christmas program and I was still proud of him for at least standing up there! The pictures are a bit dark because I was far away--that's what happens when 20 parents are trying to take pictures at the same time--I should have gotten a picture of that!

Enjoying Ice Cream Sundaes after the program:

We have been so pleased with Kieran's preschool experience this year! He has learned so many new things and it's all been centered around Jesus! We are so thankful to have this wonderful preschool in our town!

Baby Animals!

Last week, the Extension office brought baby animals to Kieran's preschool!

"Treasure" the Bunny Rabbit:

Kieran wasn't too thrilled with the little pigs:

He was a bit shy about petting the baby chicks at first, but then he warmed up to the idea:

Kieran has his last day of preschool TODAY and then we have a picnic in the park for his class on Thursday--hard to believe his 1st school year is coming to an end! Coming Soon: Pictures from his end of the year program!

Go Fly a Kite!

I'm playing some major catch up with this posting, but I had to post pictures from Kieran's 1st kite flying adventure! We finally had a good, windy day (2 weeks ago) that wasn't too cold or rainy that we could use one of our 3 kites outside! We had some little friends over and it was their 1st time to fly a kite too!

Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken tonight. Kiptyn really wanted nothing to do with the picture thing--unless he was on daddy's lap--and even then he wasn't 100% sure! But, we did get some decent pictures. These are the unedited versions of the pictures.
