What snow?

In case you forgot what snow looks like....here's a few pictures for you from some of our February sledding and snow fun!!

Watching daddy and the neighbors snow blow the driveways...wishing they could go outside to play!

Enough snow to cover the patio steps!

Daddy scooped off the patio and put all the snow in a pile...the boys loved digging tunnels in that!

Sledding!!

Even with the backyard renovation last year, we still have enough hill for sledding!!

Now you have your fill of snow pictures....it makes me cold just looking at them!
Onto springy pictures soon!

A January to Remember

Well, since it is the beginning of March....here is an overview of our January for you!

The kids were very busy playing with new toys, games and doing crafts from Christmas!

Kieran using (one of) his new art sets!

Fun, new games to play too!

Playing games...and playing with each other!

We had just a little bit of snow in January and the kids couldn't wait to go out and play in it!!
It was cold outside but they were driving mommy crazy so excited to go outside for some snow fun!

Unfortunately our family got hit with the Influenza A virus in January also. Boo!
Kieran came home from school on a Thursday with a sore throat and then had a slight fever on Friday morning so I decided to keep him home from school. I'm glad I did because he got worse as the day went on and Saturday we saw the doctor, who confirmed with a test that he had Influenza A.
He was one very sick boy!
Kieran was started on Tamiflu and they said to have anyone else checked out if we showed symptoms.
Well, Chuck and Chloe woke up on Monday morning with symptoms and I all I had to do was call the doctor's offices and they called in Tamiflu for both of them. One of my doctor's offices put me on Tamiflu also as a precaution.

That only left Kiptyn:

Poor boy came down with a fever while he was at preschool Monday afternoon and I had to go pick him up early. He came home and went straight to his bed.
He started Tamiflu the next day...

We ended up with over $700 worth of Tamiflu...thankfully our insurance picked up a big portion of the cost! But, we were very thankful for it because...

After just one week my hubby and kiddos were feeling MUCH better!!
They were enjoying the nice weather outside with friends...and snacks!

Healthy Again!

Grandpa Lyle and Grandma Shelia came out for a visit after we were all healthy and the house had been disinfected! :-) The kids got to take a ride in the back of their new truck...they were excited about that!

Whew...what a January!!
Lots of fun and a week of yucky sickness...Spring is coming soon and we're looking forward to that!
